You can complete the Small Animal Massage Certification Program on-site in 6 months or 12 months, plus you now have the option of distance learning. The course concentration is on feline and canine massage. A variety of species are discussed in class.
The faculty includes a variety of professional disciplines including: Veterinarians, Veterinary Technicians, Licensed Massage Therapists and Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioners.
Course length: 200 hours—161 in-class hours at BSMT, 39 hours in an off-campus internship
Distance course: 200 hours – 49 Hours of online classes, 112 Hours on-site at BSMT, 39 Hours Off-Campus Internship

Admission requirements: High School Graduate or equivalent. Students may take Doggone U's Small Animal Primer Course prior to admission to this course. The Primer Course will benefit students who have not been in a classroom setting for some time or who have no anatomy background.

8-Month Distance Certificate Program:
Start Date: April 15, 2014; Estimated Ending Date: November 16, 2014
Students complete 16 classes of instruction at home, taking tests and passing in assignments via an online learning system. The remaining 32 classes would be held on-site at Bancroft on the following dates: August 2014 (6 days in August), September 2014 (4 days in September), (6 days in November) November 2014. 39 internship hours need to be completed between the end of the first in-house week and the beginning of the last in-house week.
Distance Course material includes Online courses, BSMT handbooks, Anatomy workbook, and Anatomy Textbooks.
Requirements: Computer with speakers, high speed internet (ex. cable) and email access. Students must be able to access classes on-line.
12-Month Certification Program
Start Date: January 17-18, 2015; Ending Date: December 12-13, 2015 Classes are in person and will be held one weekend per month for 12 months, Sat. & Sun. from 9:00am to 5:00pm
